To Climb A Mountain

Do you see a mountain or an Opportunity?

I heard the quote below today. and it struck a chord deep in me. We find various obstacles in life too hard to cross, too deep to fathom and our fears and insecurities grip us tightly. We stand before the mountains in our hearts, squint at the summits and say, “That’s way too high for me,” and turn our backs to these obstacles before even attempting them. How many of us have missed opportunities, forsaken chances just because we feel inadequate?

We all have and some of us live with this lingering regret in us. Stop it; Seize the day; Never Ventured, Never Lived. As Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to climb Mount Everest, puts it,

“It is not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves.”

There is no mountain too high, only a spirit too weak. Steel yourself and live your life.
